national-school-program The focus of First Tee School Program (SP) is to establish a lifelong interest in golf by engaging young people in a structured golf curriculum taught during physical education classes, while promoting personal character development in every lesson. For more on the SP and its history, please visit our national site here. About 25 percent of the 200+ First Tee Chapters worldwide sponsor the National School Program. Another 40 percent of Chapters endorse and support the School Program in their areas. First Tee School Program provides curriculum that incorporates First Tee Nine Core Values into fun golf activities. The program uses SNAG (“Starting New At Golf”) equipment. The equipment is high quality plastic clubs (launchers and putters, balls, mats, tees, and targets) that can be used indoors or outside. A school set includes various sizes and enough equipment for a class size of 48. The curriculum was developed by experts in the field and adheres to NASPE (National Standards for Physical Education) standards. The training for teachers can be an outside visit by a trainer or a 3-hour on line course. For more information click here.
